“Antigua was one of those trips where there were so many highlights, it’s actually quite hard to pick my favourites!

One of the most special moments had to be watching baby turtles hatch and make their way down to the beach for the first time. It was such an amazing thing to see in real life and definitely something I won’t forget.

We also went snorkelling with stingrays, which was such a fun experience (and slightly surreal when they’re actually swimming around you!).

Another favourite was our evening at Shirley Heights. We had drinks and a jerk dinner overlooking the most incredible views, with steel drum musicians playing in the background. It was just one of those proper Caribbean evenings and the atmosphere was so good.

We also spent a day on a boat tour around the whole island, stopping along the way for snorkelling and lunch. I loved seeing Antigua from the water and getting to discover different parts of the coastline.

And obviously, I have to mention the food. I had some of the best seafood I’ve ever eaten while I was there. Fresh seafood, sunshine and a sea view – you really can’t go wrong.

Antigua definitely isn’t just somewhere to fly and flop (although the beaches are perfect for that too!). There’s so much to see and do, and I came home feeling like I’d experienced a real mix of the island.” ~ Frankie
