My First Visit to Halkidiki: A Different Side of Greece

“I recently travelled to Halkidiki and completely fell in love with this beautiful part of mainland Greece.

Having previously only visited the Greek islands, I was excited to experience somewhere different. Halkidiki felt incredibly lush and green, with dramatic landscapes, authentic Greek towns and some of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen.

The sea was another level. I travelled in June, and during a boat trip the water felt absolutely perfect, not too warm, not too cold, and so clear and turquoise that it could easily be mistaken for the Caribbean.

I was also lucky enough to visit some of Halkidiki’s best resorts, including the famous Sani Resort, Ikos Oceania Ikos Olivia and Domes Noruz Kassandra. Each hotel had its own personality and completely impressed me in a different way.

What I loved most was the variety. Halkidiki has luxury family resorts, elevated all-inclusive hotels, peaceful adults-only escapes and stylish options for couples who want to explore beyond their hotel.

Whether you are planning a family holiday, a romantic escape or your first luxury all-inclusive experience, there really is a resort in Halkidiki for every type of traveller.

I cannot wait to return.”
